Baby Update

All is well with Me and Braiden. I go for a check up appointment this Thursday, so we will see what they have to say when I go. It is just another routine visit. I'm sure they will weight me, measure my stomach, listen to the heart beat, and schedule me for blood work. It is about time for me to have my thyroid checked, glucose test done, and check my iron levels.
I feel great and my little guy is moving a ton! He usually is very active 3 times a day. First thing in the morning, mid afternoon and then at night time, usually right as I'm ready for bed! Dave got to feel him kick for the first time last Saturday, so that was pretty neat!
I will blog after my appointment on Thursday with updates.
For now, here are a few pictures of my growing stomach : )

Easter Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood is so good at providing fun and exciting events for the kids. On Sunday afternoon they put together an Easter Egg Hunt. They had face painting, balloon animals, inflatable slides, train rides, the Easter Bunny, and a ton more fun things going on. We decided to take Morgan since Megan and Addams were taking Blake. The two of them had a great time! Afterwards we went in to St. Augustine for lunch, which was beautiful. We were right on the water and the weather was gorgeous! A perfect way to end the weekend...

Surprise Birthday Party

On Saturday we celebrated Addams's 30th birthday party. It was a surprise party that Megan put together! Everyone had a great time and Addams even pretended to be surprised : )

Special Visitors

This past week we had company stay with us. My Mom and Dad were here along with my Aunt Peggy and Uncle Gary. It was nice having a house full! It gets boring when it's just Dave and I... I hate having a quiet house.
With the help of my wonderful family we were able to get some chores done around the house.
Special Thank You to my Mom for painting Braiden's room, my Uncle Gary for putting knobs on my kitchen cabinets and installing Braiden's ceiling fan (which took two tries to get it perfect), and my Dad for fixing Braiden's dresser drawers, fixing our dryer, and straightening a tree out front.
We also want to say thank you to Aunt Peggy and Uncle Gary for Braiden's golf socks, Pee-Pee Teepee, Blanket, and pretty box for his first piece of hair! Thank you Mom and Dad for more outfits and pretty box for his first tooth : )
We had a great visit and are looking forward to seeing my parents again very soon in VA!

My parents came in to town yesterday. They stayed the night and then headed farther south to visit with family. While they were here they dropped off Wrigley, our dog. They'll be returning this weekend and will stay to visit with us for a few days next week. In the mean time, we are dog sitting. Wrigley did not leave our side while we put together all of the baby gifts. He was very curious... We turned our back for a minute and we found him nice and comfortable in Braiden's car seat. Hopefully Braiden is good at sharing : )

Happy St. Patty's Day

I know I'm a few days late, but we hope everyone had a great St. Patty's Day! We stayed pretty low key this year compared to years past on Dave's favorite holiday. Guess we're getting old : )
We ended up meeting up with a few friends at an Irish Pub down the street from our house. It was pretty crowded and we weren't able to sit and eat, big problem for me. So, we ended up going to a country club down the street and enjoying a good meal and of course Guinness and Green Beer for Dave! Overall, it was a good day and night.

Doctor Visit

I had a doctor's appointment last Thursday, and completely forgot to put up an update. All is well with both Braiden and myself. My weight gain is on track and Braiden's heart beat was a very loud and strong 140 bpm. I discussed the option of letting me go in to labor, and the doctor agreed that as long as Braiden is not breech, he will let me labor and we will see what happens. So, no more planned c-section as of now! They will check me at 38 weeks, and at that time we'll see how Braiden and I are doing and go from there.

An Eventful Weekend

This past weekend, Dave and I stayed with Maiya and Morgan. We had them from Thursday to Sunday, while Ellie enjoyed a well deserved and much needed vacation to South Florida. We tried our best to keep them busy! On Friday, Me and Morgan went to a great park in Palencia and met with with Megan and Blake. They had a great time playing and Megan and I enjoyed relaxing in the 80 degree weather!

On Saturday we had a busy day of Dave playing basketball, me taking Morgan to her ballet class, playing at another park, and of course, enjoying a trip to get ice cream! On Sunday we decided to venture out beyond the neighborhood parks and take the girls to the zoo. We all had a great time. The weather was beautiful and it got us all out of the house for the day.

We had a great time with the girls, but it was nice last night sleeping in our own bed without little feet in our face in the middle of the night : )

Wardrobe Update

On Tuesday of last week we met up with our friends, Robin and Mats for dinner. We had a great dinner at Wasabi, a hibachi style restaurant. It was great to see them and catch up over dinner. They are engaged and busy planning their wedding, which will take place this December. It was exciting to hear about all of their wedding plans. Kind of makes me wish we could go back and do our wedding all over again... Time flies! They were so sweet, and bought Braiden a very cute Hartstrings onsie.

On Friday, we received a package in the mail from Marti and Steve Skoch! When Dave opened it, he couldn't have been more proud to show me Braiden's new Notre Dame collared onsie with matching ND socks! Absolutely adorable! The proud daddy can not wait to cheer on his team with his little guy. Thanks Marti and Steve for such a thoughtful gift!

Weekend Updates

On Friday I opened the front door and their was a package on the doorstep! When I opened it, inside was Braiden's very FIRST soccer uniform! His wonderful Uncle Kareem sent it to him. Also in the box was the most adorable little pair of Adidas soccer shoes. We can't wait for Braiden to grow into his uniform. Thank you so much Uncle Kareem for such a thoughtful gift. As soon as Braiden fits into his uniform we will send him to VA to begin training : )

On Saturday, Dave and I went to Babies R Us and bought Braiden's furniture! We are so excited for his room to begin looking like a room instead of an empty space. After we were done shopping we met Phillip for lunch. I wanted to take a picture of the two of us for the blog. Of course, Phillip was not cooperating and refused to take a decent picture. This is as good as I could do!
Guess which one of us is expecting....

Dave and me at the Town Center- 20 weeks and 6 days!
I have an appointment on Wednesday. It's just a routine visit and I will be 21 weeks and 3 days, according to my last ultrasound. We'll see if that has changed. I'll update with any new news after my appointment.
