It is so hard to believe that two months have already gone by. Our little man is growing and brings more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined. While waking up in the middle of the night gets tiring, as soon as we get up and look at Braiden, we just smile.
Braiden had his two month appointment the other day and he is doing great! He now weights 9 lbs. 1 oz. and is 21 1/2 in. long. Compared to the average two month old, Braiden is a little guy. However, since they go by his gestation age, which is two weeks old, he's a big, strong boy! Recently, we found out that along with all the discomfort Braiden's been in, he also has an umbilical hernia. The pediatrician says that for preemies this is not uncommon and by 4 years of age they usually correct themselves. So, for now we are just supposed to monitor it and make sure no complications arise. We are going to see a GI specialist next week to try and figure out what's been causing Braiden the discomfort. Luckily, we think that they are not going to find anything as he has been a very happy baby lately. He is sleeping much better and does not grunt loudly in pain anymore. We think his pain could have had something to do with the fact that his digestive system is so immature and we were switching formulas on him every week to try and find one that worked for him. He is now on soy formula and seems to be doing great. Every day with Braiden is better than the day before. I never knew it was possible to love one little person so very much!

A half smile for the funny lady behind the camera
Tonight, after bath time Braiden enjoyed playing in his big boy crib. He is not yet sleeping in it, but really enjoys laying in it watching his ceiling fan and listening to his light-up aquarium.
