The Nursery

Braiden's Nursery is finally complete! Last weekend, while my mom was in town we put the finishing touches on his room. Everything was in place. All that needed to be done was hanging the curtains. While it took a little bit of time, Dave and my Mom got them up and I love them! We are now ready for our little guy to arrive anytime : )

Before there was thought of Braiden... The room was our office

All we're missing now is a precious little baby to fill the space...

Baby Shower in Florida

This past Sunday, Ellie and Megan had a baby shower for me at St. Johns Golf and Country Club. Everything was beautiful and the food and cake was excellent! Thank you to the both of you for putting the shower together. You guys are the best! Below are a bunch of pictures. Thanks to everyone that was there and for all of the wonderful gifts. Braiden is one spoiled little guy!

Practice Run

Well, yesterday was a bit scary for Me and Dave. Usually Braiden is extremely active. I could count on him moving three separate times a day for a good hour each and the past couple of days, I hardly felt him move. I decided to call the doctors office and they of course wanted me to come in right away. While I was there they got a strong heart beat, which was reassuring. However, they had me drink an entire coke and then hooked me up to an ultrasound monitor. The stenographer said he looked good and was weighing in at a little over 4 pounds, but while she did the ultrasound she had a puzzled look on her face. Dr. Connor came in and they both continued to watch the ultrasound monitor moving it all over my stomach. The doctor then started to push on my stomach to try to get Braiden to move and he wouldn't budge. This went on for a good 30 minutes and finally he called in another doctor. So now, I have two large men over my stomach pushing as hard as they can and my little guy would not budge! Still a good heartbeat, but they were concerned at how "sluggish" he was, especially considering the fact that I finished an entire coke, which is packed with sugar. The doctors kept looking at one another and then looked at me and explained that they wanted to admit me to labor and delivery to be closely monitored for a few hours. I think by this time I was extremely pale and really started to get nervous. I called Dave and headed over to labor and delivery. I was immediately admitted and hooked up to monitors. Once hooked up, Dave arrived. We were there for a while. They had me drink apple juice and as I laid there, Braiden finally started to move. Not much, and not strong kicks, but he was moving. I was discharged and told to go home. I now have to start monitoring fetal kicks for an hour a day, and of course was told to slow down! All in all, we are doing okay. My little man just continues to keep me on my toes. I have a feeling he's not going to be a calm one when he finally does choose to make his appearance : )

Feeling HUGE

This past weekend was a good one. We had Morgan on Saturday and took her with us to Dave's company pool party. We all had a nice time. As you can see below, Dave and Morgan especially had a good time. So good, that when I got out of the shower, I found the two of them on the couch sound asleep!
Morgan sound asleep after swimming all afternoon

My very first "almost" Mother's Day was nice. We went to church in the morning and when we got home Dave washed my car for me! Later that afternoon we went over to Ellie's for dinner. Thank you so much to my Mom, Dave, Ellie, and Aunt Peggy for the beautiful cards. I can not wait to celebrate Mother's Day with Braiden next year!

I had gotten myself ready rather quickly the other morning and didn't need to leave for work yet and figured what better time to put together Braiden's Pack and Play. He will be sleeping in it when he comes home from the hospital. It's pretty cute and fits perfectly in our room.
Thank you Aunt Lois and Aunt Carol.

And on to me... It doesn't seem that long ago that I could see my feet and tie my own shoes. My, how things have changed! I feel good, but am slowly beginning to realize that I'm going to have to slow down a bit. Just last night I noticed that my ankles are a little swollen and then tonight realized how huge I've become when Dave took my picture and just looked at me with a huge smile on his face trying not to laugh! When I asked him what was so funny, he just said, "It looks like you have a basketball in your shirt." That's about how I feel!!!! I don't know how I am going to get through two more months. If I feel huge now, how am I going to deal 8 weeks from now?
11 Weeks Pregnant to now....
31 Weeks HUGE

Hope everyone gets a good laugh because I don't know that I will be taking any more pictures in this attire until after my little man arrives : )
