First Bath at Home

Braiden took his first real bath in the bath tub yesterday! He really seemed to enjoy it. The only parts he cried for were getting undressed right before the bath and getting dried off after his bath. Other than that, he really seemed to enjoy it!

Growing

Braiden seems to be growing each and every day. Every time we look at him he looks a little bigger. His cheeks have filled out a ton and i can't keep myself from kissing them! Now all we need is for his arms and legs to start filling out!
He had a doctors appointment the other day and he now weighs 5 lbs. 5 oz. So, as you might be able to tell, Braiden doesn't miss meals!

Grandma and Grandpa Dore sent us a flower arrangement in this wagon and I thought it would be cute to get a picture of Braiden in it. These were our best attempts at it!

The past two weeks have been spent visiting with company that has come by and relaxing around the house. Dave and I find ourselves many times just sitting and staring at our precious new addition. He truly is amazing and just makes us smile each day!

A Very Special Gift

Braiden recently received a very special gift from his Uncle Phil. He was given his uncles blanket from when he was a little guy. Braiden really has seemed to enjoy his new blanket!

We're HOME!!!

Monday was a huge day for us. After 11 days in the NICU, Braiden is finally home!!!!! We could not be more excited. His first night home was excellent. We woke him up every 3-4 hours to eat and to change him. He is a lazy little guy and enjoys his rest. Hopefully he continues to be a good sleeper : )

Braiden had a few visitors stop by yesterday. Blake and Megan came to visit and Jessica came to visit. Jess came just in time for Braiden's dinner, so while Mommy and Daddy ate dinner, Aunti Jess fed Braiden- Thanks Jess!

On Saturday, Dave and I gave Braiden his first bath. From the pictures below, you can see he did not enjoy the bath. He'll hopefully start to enjoy them more as he gets bigger.

Our Boy is 1 Week Old Today!

Today at 10:30 pm Braiden will be 1 week old! Crazy how quickly the time has passed. Our little man has made great progress over the past few days. He has moved out from under the phototherapy light, had is IV and feeding tube taken out, and has been without oxygen assistance since Tuesday. A special thank you to all of our family, friends, and coworkers for their thoughts and prayers as they really seem to be helping!
