A Visit to See Uncle Phil!

This past weekend Braiden and I flew to Austin, TX to visit Uncle Phil and to see Gigi! We had a great trip and celebrated Phillip's birthday. Thanks so much for having us Phillip and for tolerating my very vocal little boy :-) We are already looking forward to seeing you in April.

From June to Now...

I came across one of Braiden's old onesies a few days ago and thought I'd post. The picture doesn't do it justice, but the blue onesie is one from when Braiden was a preemie, and it was huge on him. The white one, is one of the onesies he wears now, and he's growing out of it quickly! It's crazy how quickly he has grown and changed. It's hard to remember just how tiny he was.
Every day with our little miracle is amazing.

Perfect Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all of our family and friends. We had a wonderful day together!
First off, thanks to Megan and Rich, Dave and I were able to go out in St. Augustine to dinner and a movie on Saturday night. It was so great just being out together. I couldn't remember the last movie I saw in the theater :-) Then, this morning we all exchanged our Valentine's and headed to church. After church we went to a great restaurant, Bridge Market and Bistro for brunch and Bloody Mary's! Here are some pictures from our Valentine's Day!

Working Hard

Surgery is a Success

Braiden's surgery was a success! The nursing staff and doctors were wonderful. We were at the Center One Surgery Center for 3 hours, but Braiden was only away from us for 15 minutes, that's how quick the surgery was! He woke up from anesthesia very upset, but soon after guzzling two bottles, he was much more pleasant. He took one 3 hour nap, a 30 minute nap with Daddy on the couch, and a 1 hour nap. He's been in good spirits and has just wanted to rest, which is a good thing. He is eating and drinking like normal. We will see what tomorrow brings, but I'm thinking our little trooper is going to be just fine :-)
When we arrived, Braiden was taken to his own little room and in it they had these rock star glasses and pin wheel set out on the bed. He stayed entertained for a bit with them!

Jacksonville Zoo

Braiden went to the Jacksonville Zoo on Sunday for the first time! They had a buy one ticket, get the other free. So, while Dave took Cort to the airport we went with Braiden's friends Alysia and Isaiah to the zoo. Braiden loves animals, so it was no surprise that he absolutely loved the zoo!

Bath Time

Braiden continues to love bath time. He'd stay in the tub for hours if we'd let him! His hair is finally growing, so we gave him a mohawk the other night :-)

Uncle Cort's Visit

This past week we were so happy to have Cort in town! We had a wonderful time visiting with him and Braiden just loved him :-)
We can not wait to get to Chicago in April to see the entire group!

ALMOST on the Move!

My sweet boy almost crawled yesterday!!! We never thought he would do it, as he only shows an interest in walking, but last night we were over at Rich and Megan's and Braiden was playing on the floor, got up on all fours, and started to scoot himself a bit. I guess it's about time to start baby proofing the house.
